I love yams and I made up this recipe years ago to really bring out the sweet potato flavor.

You really can't go wrong with this; it's pretty foolproof. I tossed in some Craisins as well, and they held up just fine in the crockpot.

Fall came a little early this year for us! We just tried it and it's quite good. I'd maybe use more sugar next time, but that's because our usual recipe calls for all sorts of sweet things in it. Anyway, it's easy and frees you up to make a main dish (a pork roast, in our case.)
