I developed this recipe at home to duplicate one at our favorite pizza place--and now everyone likes it better than the original! Most pizza joints will sell you uncooked dough. Make sure you use flour to keep it from sticking.

Directions

Knead the dough for 2 minutes, then roll out into a large rectangle, using flour to keep it from sticking. Place the pepperoni and mozzarella in layers even over the dough, sprinking with Italian seasoning between each layer. Fold dough over in thirds. Sprinkle more Italian seasoning on top of dough. Slice shallow slashes/openings in top of loaf. Bake on baking tray for 20 minutes at 375 degrees until golden brown.

Serve : 8

Ready in : Half an hour

I made this last Saturday night and my husband just loved it. I substituted ground beef for the pepperoni. I'm thinking of making it again this weekend. Mine stuck a little bit to the baking sheet so I'll use even more flour next time.
