This is one of my favorite autumn recipes. It's easy and the taste is heart-warming.

Ingredients
1 large
acorn squash
2 teaspoons
cinnamon
1/4 stick
butter
4 tablespoons
brown sugar
Directions
  1. Wash and cut the squash in half and remove the seeds.
  2. Mix butter, cinnamon and brown sugar together and pour into squash halves. Leave a little bit of this mixture aside for the end.
  3. Place squash into slow cooker and pour water around it about 1 inch high.
  4. Cook on low for 7-8 hours. Make sure squash is tender before removing from slow cooker.
  5. Put remaining mixture from step 2 on top of the squash halves and serve. 

 

Serve : 4-6 people

Ready in : 5-10 minutes
